IT has been some years now, but I asked the question to my spiritual friends: What would being human be like in 21 C. I leave some interesting apparent facts from Live Science. I will continue to post on this subject, for many other knowledge bases, like politics and economies are dependent on what will be. Many times these fields lag behind the heuristic realities, as does beliefs. The next 20 years should be quite interesting, to say the least.

Courtroom First: Brain Scan Used in Murder Sentencing
A defendant’s fMRI brain scan has been used in court for what is believed to be the first time.
Brain scan evidence that the defense claimed shows the defendant’s brain was psychopathic was allowed into the sentencing portion of a murder trial in Chicago, Science reported Monday. Brian Dugan, who had been convicted of the rape and murder of a 10-year old, was sentenced to death, despite the fMRI scans.
“I don’t know of any other cases where fMRI was used in that context,” Stanford professor Hank Greely told Science.
While the possibility of using fMRI data in a variety of contexts, particularly lie detection, has bounced around the margins of the legal system for years, there are almost no documented cases of its actual use. In the 2005 case Roper v. Simmons, the Supreme Court allowed brain scans to be entered as evidence to show that adolescent brains work differently than adult brains.

Norway takes the number one spot in the annual United Nations human development index released Monday but China has made the biggest strides in improving the well-being of its citizens…
The index compiled by the UN Development Programme (UNDP) ranks 182 countries based on such criteria as life expectancy, literacy, school enrolment and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita…
Norway, Australia and Iceland took the first three spots while Niger ranks at the very bottom, just below Afghanistan…
The UNDP said the index highlights the grave disparities between rich and poor countries.
A child born in Niger can expect to live to just over 50, which is 30 years less than a child born in Norway. For every dollar a person earns in Niger, 85 dollars are earned in Norway.
This year’s index was based on data from 2007 and does not take into account the impact of the global economic crisis. The United States ranks 13th, down one spot from last year.

1947 A Computerize World Began in Earnest
As a young High School student, I read a short story in Playboy, where the man was actually having sex with an android and telling himself he was falling in love with a female machine. Re-calling it from my memory well, because of how time has passed and the movies that have depicted humans and robots. This must of been around 1968.
Some are now saying this is the end of the Human Era, meaning that our mindfulness and technology have a life of its own and the present future and future humans will live with these phenomena’s as we once lived with nature. We have become g_ds yet we have more to learn, for our rash and selfish desires have created some very serious problems for the next 50 years. Since 1947, our creation of automates and artificial intelligence has made leaps and bounds. There is now a major marker in Space/Time/Events
