The Bluesman is Always a Social Interpreter
Peace and War: “To engage in conflict, one does not bring a knife that cuts, but a needle that sews.” (Kiswahili)
“Manchild in the Promised Land”
The second book, after “Before The Mayflower” that impacted me forever at very early age. Claude Brown wasn’t happy at what happen in the communities, we both love; but saw guns and prisons as dangerous problems. These past years of police shooting Afro-Americans always reminds me of my advocator experiences, and this great narrative of modish, City Life. Especially since an industry of prisons and militarization of “Public Servants” mushroomed, augmented by 09/11/01. Claude Brown was to pass the year, after.
Fairness and Second Chances with Tough Love.
After a lucky good life, I skimp the past at where Black Consciousness has taken us. 30 years of OJ, Yes, an American tragedy. Skimming the ESPN documentary, the view of the two female juries hit some hard realities of Clannish society. OJ was not a leader or spokesperson for BC or Pan-African ideal. His moral karma caught up and it is a script for a good play. An American Masterpiece!
Pray I can stay and see what the plays will look like when you added Bill Cosby and Rev. Jesse Jackson. The playwright will birth maybe 50 years from now. In some fairness to Rev. Jesse Jackson, he still fights violence and cattling our social problems into cells. His concessions to the Oligarch has to be the thread here; given the state of our Manchild, today and the Political Parties. Bill proves that Self-Righteousness in the face of an American tradition is still used for the rich and not poor black youth. The same ones you ostracized quite regularly. As a matter of fact, what the science of neuropsychology knows today, locking individuals created more problems than solutions. It evens leads to why we have empathy, for, “Free Will” is an overused concept.
Discipline, Early Education, Skills, and Self-Worth are still basic for a “successful” life which is first, Subjective. Though! If there is hypocrisy and unfairness by power (includes parents too), seen by conscious emotions, then there are self-destructions.
Anarchy and Terror
This nation of ours has a history of anarchy, one of the biggest problem with; have gun to solve mentality. Many leading no gun control defenders know this and are political and monetary opportunist.
We are not going to stop this lone gunman who is mad with something, even if it has reality with more guns that is the moral myth here. This is a nation’s problem written from the fabric of this nation beginnings. The level of mental illness within our nation is masked and must be address, since we surely in a game changing Century. Simple terror doesn’t solve problems only lingers resentments.
The police must be accountable even if it is documented as “abnormal” in statistics, as proven in reality: A present abnormality can become a tragic normalcy given the initial state it oscillates from.

"I became an even firmer believer in psychic determinism, Freud's idea that nothing in one's mental life occurs by chance
Likewise, understanding the biology in no way denies the richness or complexity of thought. Rather, by focusing one component of a mental process at a time, reduction can expand our view, allowing us to perceive previously unanticipated relationships between biological and psychological phenomena"
